Ocotal is a charming little town in the north, capital of Nueva Segovia. Situated next to the Rio Coco and a small mountain range, Ocotal is not far from neighboring Honduras. Agriculture is important here and the local economy has been developing well in recent years. It’s even a destination that guarantees some surprises. The easiest way is to take a bike ride around town, where the streets and alleys are easy to navigate and the scenery is simply superb.
