The village is not very big. From the top of the hill, the view is incredible. The outline of the long barrier of rocks characteristic of the northern part of the beach appears. Towards the continent, there is nothing, everything is green. You finally feel in a very secluded and authentic place. Free time dedicated to the independent discovery of the city of Granada, one of the jewels of the Spanish colonial empire in Central America. The emblem of the city is its cathedral with saffron yellow facades. The invasion of the country by William Walker’s mercenaries in the 19th century led to many destructions in the city, but the cathedral, which was burned down, was rebuilt, and the city managed to preserve many colonial houses. They are recognizable by their warm colors and inner courtyards, essential for protecting oneself from the heat.
Don’t miss strolling through the charming and colorful streets of the city, lingering at the local market near the central square, visiting the Doña Elba museum on cigars, or simply having a coffee on one of the many shaded terraces, and feeling the liveliness of the city.

Private transport from Granada to discover the Masaya volcano at night!
The Masaya volcano is an active volcano. For this reason, it is subject to strict safety rules, and authorities can decide at any time to close or open access to the public depending on the volcano’s activity level.
With its 54 km² and 20 km of trails in wild nature, the Masaya National Park is a place that will give you a different perspective on what happens beneath the Earth’s crust. With its five craters, the Masaya, called « Popogatepe » by the indigenous Nahuatl, is the most accessible active volcano in the world.
The experience involves discovering it at the end of the day. You will approach the crater by vehicle, park, then walk just a few meters to enjoy the view of the smoking crater.
Previously, you could see the lava boiling inside the crater, but since 2024, following a landslide, the site no longer allows as much visibility… However, the spectacle remains magnificent and it is very impressive to get so close to an active volcano!
The visibility of the crater and lava heavily depends on the gas and smoke emissions. On some days, visibility may be limited.
