Cerro Negro volcano
This morning, you’ll meet your local guide at the entrance to the Cerro Negro volcano to set off on a discovery tour. You’ll reach the summit from where you can observe the crater, then descend the slope on a sandboard. Thrills guaranteed, whether you’re standing or sitting on your board! Or if you prefer a bit of fresh air, the beaches of the Pacific, the Juan Venado island reserve and its mangroves await you an hour away. Overnight in Léon.
Telica volcano
Early morning departure for the Telica volcano, one of the most active in the region, where you can observe various volcanic manifestations, including the bubbling baths and the ever-present smell of sulphur known as the Hervideros de San Jacinto. 4-6 h h hike to enjoy the view of the crater and lava before taking a picnic break on the heights. Leon - Granada
Drive to the town of Granada. We suggest you take a stroll through the Masaya market, one of the most important in the country and renowned for its colorful local handicrafts. From pottery to leather goods and hammocks, the colors of the local handicrafts will fill your eyes! Overnight in Granada.
Granada
Free time to explore Granada We suggest you discover this colonial jewel on foot or in a horse-drawn carriage. You can visit the Cathedral, the Merced church and the Xalteva church, around which the city of Granada was originally built. Before continuing your discovery, enjoy tostones con queso in the central square under the shade of the trees. Half a day devoted to discovering Las Isletas, an archipelago of islands off the coast of Granada. Overnight in Granada.
Mombacho Volcano Nature Reserve
We invite you to discover the wetlands of Volcan Mombacho, overlooking Granada. Let’s go for a walk in the heart of this atypical ecosystem! Nearly 150 species of orchids, 50 types of mammals and 120 species of butterflies have been recorded here. You’ll also visit a museum depicting the volcano’s major telluric events. In mid-afternoon, you’ll take the ferry to the island of Ometepe. Overnight on the island of Ometepe
Maderas Volcano
In the morning, accompanied by a local, you’ll set off along the slopes of the Maderas volcano towards a viewpoint offering one of the best views on the island. You’ll pass through different types of vegetation, from the beige colors of the dry plain dotted with black volcanic rocks, to the greens of the banana plantations on the heights. Overnight in Ometepe.
Ometepe Island
You’ll reach the small port of Moyogalpa and cross Lake Nicaragua to San Jorge. Once on land, drive to the Apoyo lagoon and spend the rest of the day at your hotel on the lagoon.
